Reception is guaranteed at least ten hours a day by staff who speak at least one official European language in addition to French. As for surface areas, the reception halls and lounges have a minimum surface area of 30 m2 and the double rooms have a minimum surface area of 9 m2. Three stars: Three-star hotels are more likely to cater for international guests. As with 2-star hotels, reception is guaranteed for at least ten hours a day by staff who speak at least one official European language in addition to French. The range of services offered to customers is more important, such as Internet access in common areas and beverage services. The surface areas are increased. The living areas are larger (50 m2) and the double rooms have a minimum surface of 13.5 m2.
