The reason is that this, most of all the senses, makes us know and brings to light many differences between things.”2. A man, as a rational being, is characterised by the need for cognition. A man of cognition “travels” through “expanses” of science, religion, philosophy and art. What brings us to cognition is also travelling and learning about other countries, civilisations, cultures, customs and traditions. This is because, as Henry Miller said, “one's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things”. This is exactly what tourism travels have to offer – a fresh way of looking upon things. I. INTRODUCTION Tourism is a prevailing economic and service industry and, at the same time, the most significant factor behind the economic development in Montenegro. The share of tourism and hospitality industry in gross domestic product has reflected a trend of steady annual growth, which is accompanied by increasing foreign investments in tourism. In 2019 the share of tourism in the national GDP of Montenegro reached 22,2% according to the information presented by the Central Bank of Montenegro.
