INTRODUCTION This paper aims to present the recent changes related to the tourism sector in Brazil, especially including all stakeholders linked to the air transport trade. Provisional measures and a technical note were produced to reduce the economic damages caused by COVID-19 and these are the initiatives that will be presented and discussed in this text. Then, in the second part of the chapter, the new legislative and administrative efforts to try to regulate the current situation and to reduce great impacts on the Brazilian tourism sector and consumers will be presented. So as to offer a timeline of the new rules, we will follow the date of their publishing, thus ordering each action.
